The Las Cruces Rotary Club and the Las Cruces Rio Grande Rotary Club are inviting local eighth-grade students to participate in an essay contest focused on Rotary’s Four-Way Test.
The competition will begin at 6:30 p.m. on March 26 at Alma d’Arte Charter School, located at 402 W. Court Street in Las Cruces. Paper will be provided.
Students will be asked to write, in their own handwriting, for 30 minutes about how one or more principles of the Four-Way Test apply to their lives. Essays may reflect experiences at home, at school, in sports, or in other personal activities. A two-page limit is recommended.
First, second, and third-place winners will be announced in late April. Award recipients will be invited to attend a Rotary club meeting, where they will be recognized and presented with a monetary prize.
